Moving with a load bike


This move was further and involved more hills, but was easier because of the long john load bike I'd built in the meantime.
wyndam-st_01.jpg	wyndam-st_02.jpg	Loaded up with Nally bins full of books. This was one of the more challenging trips, as I worked out just how much stuff I can carry over the route. My guess is something over 100kg on the bike here, and I'd be happier keeping it under 100kg round most of Sydney. I weigh a little over 80kg (170lb), the bike weighs about 30kg.
wyndam-st_03.jpg	At least the weight is reasonably low, and packed well. A high, shifting load would not be fun. Kelly loading up too. She put too much weight onto the small trailer, and had trouble pulling it. But the trailer was fine.

wyndam-st_06.jpg	There's a pile of shock cord holding the rear wheel onto the trailer, and the question was whether it would be able to turn corners. It worked ok.
