the bracket unbolts from the trike to make it easier to move it to the middle of the tandem. 4 allen bolts instead of about 5 tools and greasy hands. It's rusting a bit where I adjusted the angle of the derailleur post. You can just see the twin posts - the more vertical one for the 22/32/42T triple, and the laid back one for the 42/63T double I use with the Mountain Drive.
